I have tried settings under profile do not seem to have the option to turn sound off at start up and end. It’s a very basic phone for senior unbranded. It’s so loud and annoying as it was bought from eBay did not come with instructions. Have been playing with it so far no luck. Thanks

Can you give us a bit more of a clue as to the make/model of phone? Anything available in the phone menus like "About" ?2

I can't turn down or off the start up/boot sound from my Nokia Android smartphone.
Really annoying, but just the way it is with some brands.
If I remember I sit on the speaker to muffle the sound.
Google should find you the manual with the maker and model name... It may (or may not help, though).
You've not had much luck with this second hand eBay purchase, have you?1 -

Anything available in the phone menus like "About" ?Settings profiles general customise alert type ring only, ringtone volume message tone message volume keypad silent key volume 7 system alert on. These are the options on setting no options to turn start up off. The phone is unbranded. I did message to disable the human voice every time you dial a number.0

The problem with basic and or cheap is that it wont always have the functionality of more expensive or better featured phones so some of the stuff you might expect just wont be available.
Looking at the phone its probably been designed for the specific use of someone who may be aged, infirm, partially sighted or even half deaf person as it is a big button phone. It may also be deigned that these functions cant be disable by someone who may not know how to do more complex stuff.
All you can do is try to find a manual (if one exists) or try out every menu - has it got a help menu. If its unbranded then its going to be really difficult to identify it to find any info on line. Have you tried going back to the vendorNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers1 -
On the phone dial*#06#
This should give you the phone's IMEI number which you enter on this site:0
