Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Very dark chilly start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy..
Dinner last night was HM chicken and mushroom pie, pots, veg and gravy. Tonight will be use up of what's in the fridge.
Work wasn't too bad, we'll see how today goes but a slightly shorter day.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
Cold and frosty again this morning - at least it's not raining! Washing up to date but that's about it, the house is slowly descending into chaos, maybe I'll sort it out tonight! Last night I used up a voucher for a massage and it was glorious, haven't felt so relaxed for ages and had a really good night's sleep.
I have the optician after work today, going to a local independant one instead of the big chain so I'll see how that goes.
Hope everyone is well, sorry to hear you've got the lurgy Mehefin. Thinking of the poorlies, especially Poppy.
Take care. XX11 -
Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.There's a heavy frost here, brrr, we've got to be out early for the hairdresser as well, there'll be much scraping going on.Thank you for the photos Gers, it sounds really exciting.Sorry to hear about your WM Nels, we've used AO a few times and found them pretty good. Hope you get sorted out soon.I've got a busy ish day ahead, there's the hairdresser, then some shopping to do for a friend who is more or less housebound, then take the shopping to said friend and stay for a chat. I've got some chicken thighs out so I'll put a chicken casserole in the slow cooker at some point.Good to hear from you Mehefin, sorry you're not well though.Carolbee, imagine the temperature of that steel grey sea!Coxy, are you still struggling on about your furniture, hope it's sorted soon and they make some sort of goodwill gesture.Thinking of our poorly people, Bella, you don't sound too grand, Mr Nanny, hope the D&V goes away soon. Also Poppy of course, and anyone else who is under the weather.Take care folks and keep warm.12

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. -3 and not set to rise above +1 all day. Brr!!
It was rather parky yesterday too but we managed to avoid getting chilled to the bone. We went to Skipton and I felt so sorry for the market stallholders they looked frozen stiff and business didn't look brisk either. We soon retreated to our watering hole for lunch and the obligatory bottle of wine! The highlight of bus trip days. Then a quick poke around in a couple of cs before heading for the bus back.
Grounded today so I suppose I had better do a bit of cleaning and the laundry basket is looking a bit full too. It certainly won't be getting pegged outside it would freeze to the line. And talking of washing NELS I hope you get fixed up with a new wm soon. I too got mine from AO and couldn't fault them.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, fed up or MIA. Thinking of POPPY. Take care all and keep warm and safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -

Morning all
Thick frost here this morning and very cold, the heating is on ! Off to collect my private client today and take him to ex work, we will leave just after lunch and do some shopping before dropping him home.
We had a lovely day yesterday we went for a very bracing walk along the prom, but we were all wrapped up in coats hats etc, we walked for a while when we saw a play park with a zip wireso we all had a go on that and the swings it was great fun, we then stopped for a hot drink and cake then came home and watched Madagasca which one of the lads loved he was laughing out loud at it, I had the fire going and we were all cosy I dont think one of them wanted to go home ! Floss thats who runs the scheme I work for although I am self employed, I must say I love my new job
Not sure about dinner tonight will get something while I am out maybe pizza and salad, dw has been emptied and I have put a wash on this morning.
Have good days all and wrap up warm xxx13 -
Morning from a proper frosty corner of Kent. Matilda the musical was very good.
Swimming this afternoon and then once it’s dark going to see the lights on the boats in Ramsgate harbour, they look so beautiful.
Keep safe and warm allCarolbee11 -
Morning everyone - very chilly here too - little kitten has gone out into the garden for a play.
Went into town yesterday afternoon and I think I've finished my Christmas shopping - drum roll please! I got some wrapped when I came home and will do some more this morning, then go down to mam and dads for an hour before work. The front bedroom is a tip, but I won't need it this weekend as little one is going to see her daddy.
They were enjoying their trip to Butlins but then they had to spend Tuesday night in a hospital near Skegness as little one had suspected appendicitis - turned out not to be but they spent the night on chairs and DD was not happy with the care they got, which I won't go into. Little one felt a bit better yesterday but DD had had no sleep and was exhausted - hopefully they'll have a good day today. I feel so sorry for DD as every time she tries to do something nice it always ends up with a trip to hospital.
Sorry my memory seems to be non existent just now - I read your news and it just disappears.
Hope everyone has a good day today - keep warm! x

Awaiting a Mr T delivery then i am off out to collect xmas bits and a lamp shade to finish off the dinning room just waiting to see if the small cabinet i saw at the Cotswold Co goes down in price in the jan sales and then finally one room is finished .

Morning folks. It's a very chilly -3° here, fields are white and the farmer is busy with feed. I'm still under my duvet though will leave it soon. The highlight of my day yesterday, apart from the low flying manoeuvres, was that my new chair arrived. 🎉 It's been a long wait but it's here. The lovely driver carried it upstairs and unwrapped it and put it where I wanted it. Eighteen week wait and five minute delivery! Of course I gave them a tip and then a bag of spent batteries and a unwanted YouView box for disposal. Not really a fair swap. 😀
In the spirit of MSE I've put smart plugs on the TV sets so that they can be turned off at the wall by Alexa or app. Seems that the TVs draw a lot of power whilst on standby so that's sorted.Today I have nothing on my agenda so I'll go with the flow. The stove may need cleared out though I may get off with it one more day.Keep snug and warm everyone. Happy Thursday to all.10 -
Hello all, -1 here and going up to a balmy 3 degrees later but at least the sun is shining. Mr Fix It is struggling a bit as everything he eats upsets him, but so far I haven't succumbed. Today I shall potter around, sort out a sm list and then this afternoon we will go to watch DGD's 1960's assembly, himself will come if he's up to it. DGD was amazed that we had lived through the 60's and remembered the moon landing, Kennedy's assassination etc. Her comment was "I knew you were old, but not THAT old!" Out of the mouths of babes eh? Hope everyone has a good day whatever you are doing.
Take care, stay safe, keep warm and hugs to the poorly ones, the MIA's and anyone struggling at present.
nan xx
