Does anyone know of a more energy-efficient dehumidifier than this one (200W) I'm close to buying:
that is of a similar price (£140) and size 12L)
It will be mainly used for drying wet laundry, and also reducing the moisture in the flats living room (6.5m X 5 metres size)
And hopefully warming he room too
I saw this one mentioned
in a top 10 comparison website, so I'm not confident on how objective the review is:

Meaco Arete One 12l is rated as using less power, 155W rather than 200W

It is dearer but also rated to be slightly quieter & has a 5 year warranty.
Meaco also do the ABC 12l which is rated at 165W & slightly cheaper list (warranty not as long). You may be able to get either on offer.
No doubt other manufacturers & models are similarly available.1 -
I wouldn't base your purchase decision on power consumption alone. You won't get much warmth out of something that only consumes 200 watts either, even if the total output was released as heat.chris112 said:Does anyone know of a more energy-efficient dehumidifier than this one (200W) I'm close to buying:

I've used Ebac products for years. You'll notice the place feel warmer when the humidity level is lowered, it's a subjective thing. I wouldn't trust Amazon reviews or the makers claimed spec. 12 litres a day with a 2 litre bucket? You'd be emptying it every few hours.

On Meaco website they also provide "Extraction rate data" for their products at different temps/humidity, for example at 10 °C and 60 % RH the extraction rate will be 1.95 litres per day at 130 watts, but at 30 °C and 80 % RH the extraction will be 12.18 litres per day at 198 watts same dehumidifier.Gas: warm air central heating, instant water heater, Octopus tracker
Electricity: 3kw south facing solar array, EV, Octopus intelligent0
