British Gas - Not Received Energy Bills Support Scheme Payment (£66) Since October
Hi All,
I am a British Gas duel fuel customer. They are paying the energy bills support scheme (£400) over 6 payments into my bank as I pay by direct debit. I received the first £66 payment into my back account on the 17th October but I haven't received a payment since then. Has anyone else had this issue?

Same here for my electricity only account. Have contacted them and they have escalated it. Apparently it's due to their "new system" which also involved forgetting to take the November direct debit payment to begin with (check to see if yours was missed also...)0

Actually just checked and I have the payments in my account on 2nd and 5th Dec which I assume are for Nov and Dec (£66 and £67). I cancelled my direct debit with them last month so they are now just a credit on my account0

British Gas New Account System
British Gas have just changed over to a new account system - 31/10/2022.This means that you now have a new account number and all your Direct Debits change to the new system. You should not have to do anything.
In my case this not NOT happen. The Direct Debit (DD) got cancelled with the bank and was not reinstated with the new system. Hence Novembers DD was not paid from the bank nor was the Government Support money credited to my account. British Gas did NOT contact me about this. I just happened to notice the DD had not been taken.
When contacting them all they said was OK we'll setup a new DD which wouldn't start until January. So two months of payments missed.
I would urge anyone with British Gas to check and make sure their payments have gone through. I would hate for people to spend the money at Christmas not realising their energy company had not been paid and end up in debt.
