Why is energy rebate payment less than £66

Hi my mum has only recently checked her bank account and has noticed that her energy rebate payment was less than £66.  She is with Scottish Gas and has had difficulty getting through to them. I have tried to ‘Google’ this but can’t really find anything.  Can anyone offer an explanation?  Thanks

  • Was her direct debit normally less than £66?

They won't refund more than the normal direct debit.  The rest will go as credit on the energy account.

I only see the Direct Debit payment reduced by the £66 in my bank statement.  ie. Normal DD payment £135 - bank statement shows DD of £69.  You need to see the bill for the period to see how the supplier has treated the EBSS credit and DD refund.
