Last Minute.com travel extra pack

Hi, I am thinking about booking a city break with Last Minute.com. It wants me to add a travel extra pack which discounts the holiday. It appears there is no cost, but I am worried I am signing up to some sort of contract with future payments. Does anyone know what this travel extra pack actually is?

Firstly, personally I would not book any travel arrangements with LastMinute.com/Bravofly SA.

I suspect what you are seeing is this -

“ Where available, the label “Plus” shown in each flight offer indicates that the price displayed includes the discount applied as a consequence of the Plus subscription program. You can confirm the Plus price going forward in the booking or you can choose to go forward with the Regular price displayed as well in the flight offer.”

You therefore get to either pick a reduced price for this trip, but subscribe to their club and pay an annual fee for the privilege, or opt for the higher regular and non-discounted price.

might be worth checking some reviews about lastminute (I suspect you may then decide against using them)

I suspect many however see just a headline price which they think gets them a deal a few ££ cheaper than other sellers and will still jump straight in.
  • Did you ever get a definite answer to your original question? I recently booked a holiday and got the discounted rate with the travel extra pack, and am now looking at booking another and using the £70 voucher it provided. I had no problems with last minute and cannot see anywhere that the travel extra pack is a "subscription"?

The pack isn't a subscription. It loosely ties you in, in that you are likely to go back to use the £70.

I had a nightmare experience with them during Covid, and had a voucher as part of my refund. We finally used it up recently and won't be going back, despite the £70 voucher.

This trip was okay, no transfers and asking a ridiculous price to add them on, but everything else was fine. The real test is when things go wrong though, and that was horrible.
