British Gas Missed Payment

So I've been a British Gas customer for a few years (Gas and Electricity) and have always paid via Direct Debit and have never missed a payment.

A few weeks ago, I switched to Octopus (the switch went through smoothly).

A few days after the switch, I noticed my credit report had a missed payment flag for both BG accounts (Gas and Electricity).

My direct debit is still active and a couple of weeks have passed since the flag and BG have generated a final electricity bill and collected the monies. The gas DD is due in 10 days.

I've reached out to BG to query the reason for the flag and their customer service were useless. I've requested a manager call back, but it's been 5 days now and no one has gotten back to me.

I wanted to check if this is common when you switch suppliers?

I noticed the missed payment flag because I was applying for credit and the lender queried the missed payment.
