DPD delivery

I have an iPhone being delivered tomorrow by DPD on behalf of SKY. I am a teacher and work Monday to Friday but it says I can’t switch to a Saturday delivery or get it delivered to one of their affiliate shops for me to collect after work. Any idea what I can do?

Let them make an attempted delivery then see if you get more options. If not contact Sky and tell them the issue you have with weekday deliveries.

Try downloading the DPD app and see if you get any alternatives.

It may be that Sky have advised DPD to only deliver to the named person.

As stated above, you may get different options after the first delivery attempt.

DPD will likely try and leave it with a neighbour, especially at this time of the year.

Your best option if you can't get it changed is to contact Sky. Having had dealings with Sky in the last couple of weeks, I wish you the best of luck! In my experience they're very nice and polite on the phone but then do naff all that they say they're going to.

I suspect that is the reason. I know when we had a phone delivered just over a year ago we were told it could only come to the address on the account, we couldn't divert it to even a collection point 'for our own safety and to avoid fraud'. I don't recall any warning about Saturday deliveries not being possible though.

DPD can do later (early evening) slots too, but, as far as I know, only the sender can ask them to do that. There are sometimes other options via the app that you don't necessarily see online.

Phones, tablets and any mobile accessories delivered by courier will need to be signed for and they might ask for some photo ID.

Missed delivery

If you’re not in to sign for your order, you can reschedule your delivery through the DPD website.

DPD will make three delivery attempts before your order's returned to us and cancelled.

Deliveries can't be left with a neighbour or in a safe place, and can't be dropped off at delivery depot for collection.
