Consumer rights on an item less than 6 months old and had one repair?

The OP said that they sent the item back via the online shop-who presumably then returned it to the manufacturer themselves? So as far as I can see, the OP has been dealing with the retailer under CRA 2015, which terms now still apply.
If the retailer chooses to subcontract the repair to the manufacturer, then that is their right, but it doesn't mean that the OP's rights under CRA 2015 are voided.
Not clear what 'via the online shop' means, but even if the retailer asked the OP to return the item directly to the manufacturer, the situation isn't altered, and CRA 2015 should still apply. as the OP was liaising with the retailer.
Time is now of the essence and the OP should exercise their right to request a refund within the 6 month point.
This doesn't sound like what I would call the 'DSG approach' to CRA 2015, where the retailer just says 'not our problem guv, you need to contact the manufacturer'.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Ive got two threads on here at the moment. One about my forks and the other about a brand new sofa (not having much luck with either to be honest)cajef said:
I thought this thread was about bike suspension forks, now it changed into a sofa what happened to the forks?bikingbarney said:Hi all,
After some advice.
I purchased an item online on the 17/06/22.
Straight from the off the item didn't feel great but I thought they might need bedding in (push bike suspension forks)
The forks have been sent back to the original online retailer for them to send off for warranty at the place they went for warranty the first time. Just waiting to hear back now.0
