Hi
Ive recently installed Google Waller. It works great with my debit card. But my loyalty cards (Tesco, Morrissons etc) dont work. I scan the cards' QR code, and in the 'Membership ID' field it seem to place a random number in there - NOT the Membership number from my card. Shouldnt it be the membership number from my card?
Thanks

In my wallet the Tesco QR number shows as my membership number followed by loads of random letters and numbers. Is this how yours is showing? If so then that's correct. Mine works at the tills."a workman, even of the lowest and poorest order, if he is frugal and industrious, may enjoy a greater share of the necessaries and conveniences of life than it is possible for any savage to acquire."0

I've found the Stocard app works better than Wallet for loyalty cards.0

Ah ok, Ive just done a test and can confirm that - although in the app the input field says 'Membership Number' - its NOT the Membership Number. It contains the Membership Number, but also random characters. So even though it lets you edit the field, theres no point becuase if you enter your membership number it wont work. Usability issue.

If your Tesco is anything like my Tesco then it's an absolute waste of time. I have a stack of people standing behind me waiting as I hold my phone every which way to beep the barcode. Some times it'll do it first time (rare) other times it'll take an absolute age and I mean an absolute age, not just a few seconds. I've had to go back through the menu & come back again before, numerous times. It's the worst sensor I've ever dealt with in my life.dllive said:Hi

For the record, I also had trouble with Google Wallet. I use Samsung Pay which when it works, works. It's totally the machine though that makes me say "when it...." as it also acts up with my wifes phone too.0 -
Google wallet works great with Tesco and other loyalty cards.....Never have anyone waiting for mine to be accepted. Same with train tickets, venue tickets etc etc. I guess the phone being used could be a factor in peoples poor experiences...Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Is that using the QR type or 1D (stripes) barcode?RumRat said:Google wallet works great with Tesco and other loyalty cards.....Never have anyone waiting for mine to be accepted. What format is the number displayed?
There seem to be different ones, depending when the card was added to Pay/Wallet.
It used to be possible to add the card to Google Pay from the Tesco app, but not currently.0 -
I use Google Wallet for my Co-Op and Waitrose loyalty cards. They both work fine when the barcode is scanned at the shop.I'm about to try the loyalty cards on my Google Watch - using the Bring! app.0

Depending on the card they use both....Tesco uses QR code with a long number and some letters...Looks random to me and I no longer have a physical card to check numbers.k_man said:

Morrisons uses Bar code as does Boots Nectar and Co-op...
All mine were added by just scanning the cards.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you
