Resolvecall and Capquest

Resolvecall contacted my about a debt from 2006 on behalf of Capquest. Capquest suddenly stopped the agreement of £1 a month without me knowing anything about it in 2019. I wrote to Capquest and let them know my present situation, I am 67 , retired and living off the state pension. I told them that I would not engage with Resolvecall, and suggested they reinstate the original agreement, take me back to court, or wipe off the debt (£3800).
Today I received a short reply stating that Resolvecall were now managing the debt and I had to deal with them direct. Do I have to do this? Any ideas of what to do next?

What is the status of the debt, has this been the subject of a CCJ ?
Capquest, like many other debt purchasing companies, farm out their collection's role to various 3rd parties, in this case Resolve call.
How you deal with them depends on the answer to the above question.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. I assume it was the £1 per month, you refer too above, just write and tell Resolvecall the court agreed payment is £1 per month, how you they like you to pay ?
If Capquest want you to pay more, they must get court approval to do so.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
