Advice needed re death of my Nan and money owed from Eon

Hi my Nan sadly passed away in August of this year. My uncle is executor and I’ve been helping him with some admin. Most of it is sorted, although Eon owe her estate about £250. My uncle has tried phoning several times only to be fobbed off. The last thing they said to him was they were going to credit my Nans bank account, however that account no longer exists. In these circumstances what do we do? Any advice would be really appreciated.

I think most Eon domestic customers were moved over to Eon Next. They seem to have outsourced there bereavement handling to Phillips & Cohen Associates, so if he has been calling normal customer support he could try them instead.

Has the property been sold? If not, you need to wait for the final bill, normally within 6 weeks of closing the account and giving final readings.
If the DD has been cancelled because the account no longer exists, they will normally refund by cheque, so you need to inform them that this cheque must be made out to the executor account. No free lunch, and no free laptop
