National Lottery and Credit Rating

There is a strong chance of me wanting to take out a new mortgage next year. I have a very good credit rating and no financial problems at the moment. I put around £200/month into a National Lottery account from my current account, most of which is used to buy tickets for a family syndicate. I'm concerned that a lender might view that amount of lottery spending as suspect. You can't fund lottery purchases from a credit card or a pre-paid debit card, so I'm struggling to find a way of avoiding surveillance of this spending. Are there any accounts that have a standard debit card, but won't show up on a credit report?

Any basic current account only shows as a zero balance on credit reports.
Your transactions only ever show on your bank statements, and never on a credit report anyway.
To be honest, you may be overthinking this issue just a little bit, as long as any mortgage application is deemed by the lender to be affordable, what you do with your disposable income is of no business to anyone else.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Only bank statements showing lots of gambling transactions, ditto credit card payments would raise eyebrows, lots of people play the lottery0

Mortgage companies will be fine with the lottery o there0

I would not be concerned. Aside from anything else, unless the lender wants to see your bank statements they will not know how much you are spending on the lottery anyway0
