French speeding fine sent to random person at my address

Hi, I wondered if anyone had any thoughts on this. I've had a speeding fine delivered to my door from France, by courier. The issue is that it's addressed to someone that isn't me, and the address is not actually correct for me either (It's a bad phonetic spelling of the street name, and the postcode is for the next street along). Furthermore, it's for a time when I wasn't in France, and isn't my car. Basically I think someone has been done for speeding, and has given false info to the French government. Do I just ignore it - it's technically not for me. Or will this put a black mark against my address? I've gone to the appeals website for the french government, but the options are things like 'the car had been stolen', there's no option to say 'you've been given the wrong info, this isn't anything to do with me'. Thoughts welcome!
