Hi
Does anyone know what happens to pre-paid envelopes when postage stamps change next year?

Yes the print on them needs to change to a barcoded PPI (not the banking one) if you have an account, you need to alert your printer and I think Royal Mail account manager who would create a new template for your printer to use to print your new one, or indeed you can use the home postage service online and I think you can print on to your envelopes directly or on an adhesive label.
There may well be a transition period but you'd need to see Royal Mail about it.Thanks to all the competition posters.0 -
Hi
Thanks for the response. Sorry if I wasn’t clear. These aren’t envelopes that go through a franking process. They were purchased direct from Royal Mail and are pre- stamped either 1st or 2nd class.0 -
Pre-paid envelopes are not affected - https://w4mp.org/2022/02/10/royal-mail-transition-to-barcoded-stamps/You could swap your stamps though - https://www.royalmail.com/sending/barcoded-stamps
