Question Relating To Possibly Unenforceable Debts

Hello,
It is alleged I owe two amounts relating to two credit cards. One amount is being managed by PRA Group. The other has just been passed to a company called Intrum.
Neither appears on my credit score, as the alleged debts are over 6 years old. I am paying both amounts off monthly - £5 per alleged debt.
PRA Group
The alleged outstanding amount relates to Barclaycard.
14 days ago, I requested a copy of the Statement of Account and Credit Agreement. They have supplied a Statement of Account but no Credit Agreement yet. My question is, how long do I give them before I say, "no dice - until you prove this alleged debt is mine, I'm not paying you."?
Intrum
I've called them three times. Each time they try and get me to confirm my details, such as income, etc. I refuse to do so until they send me something in writing. I've pro actively emailed them three times. They haven't replied, they haven't emailed me and they haven't written to me. They told me on the phone that they probably wouldn't write to me because I don't live in the UK (?).
I have also requested a copy of the Credit Agreement from them.
What is my best course of action here? I am considering emailing to say that unless they reply to my email, all payments will be stopped because I have no idea who they are, and I have no proof this alleged debt is mine.
Thanks!

That`s a lot of use of the word "alleged" lol.
A correctly formatted request for information under sec 77/79 of the consumer credit act, should be accompanied by the £1 statutory payment, however not all companies will bother cashing this, and although this payment should be included with requests, it shouldn`t stop them from complying.
Once you have submitted your request`s, you can stop paying, the account`s become, temporarily unenforceable, until they supply what they are supposed to.
The consumer credit act gives creditors 14 days to respond, however these are just guidelines, and it typically takes three months or more for any compliant paperwork to be received.
After that time, if nothing has arrived, its likely it never will.
If you don`t live in the UK, then it`s highly unlikely these debts will be chased anyway, as debt collection outside the UK can be complex and expensive.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Thank you! A consider them alleged because until I see proof I owe what they say I owe, then they are alleged :-)
I am a non resident of the UK though I am a British national so I believe they could technically take me to court if prove the debt is mine.May I ask - if I did stop paying and waited for this Credit Agreement - could they begin proceedings without it? I assume not because a court would ask for proof of the debt in the first instance, but I thought I would check.0 -
If you're not resident in the UK, then even if they did take action through the courts, it would not interfere with your life abroad.
CCJ`s in the UK, will not show on your files in another country, nor will they be enforced there.
The case would end once a claim was made, and you asked them to provide evidence of liability, that usually comes in the form of a credit agreement, and if it`s not provided, that is basically the end of the matter.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
