Wire Google Nest Doorbell From Lightning Cable

Outside by my front door I have an outside light with surplus cable and the light switch just inside the house by the front door.

Is it possible to also wire/power the doorbell from the lighting cable using a transformer/box which could be on the wall neatly in the corner. Would obviously want the light switch to still work and not affect the doorbell which would need constant power.

I know you can get mains plug in transformers for these doorbells but have nowhere to be plug it in.

Don't worry I wouldn't do the wiring myself.

Thanks

I don't see any problem with this, but I'd use a fused junction box for this and a 3A fuse.

Great thank you. What outside fused junction box would be best?

Outside you have only switched line. You need permanent one for your doorbell, so you need a connection inside.
