hi,

We normally get tickets off of a mate who organises some stages down there, but going back 10 years or so I got hold of a villagers ticket & slept in the workers part of the site & from what I remember it's not very far at all from the main bit of the festival.
There are indeed flushing toilets and from what I remember showers as well! :T
However, be prepared to walk miles if you want to go around the whole site as the festival is huge
To anyone going I'm sure you'll have a blast :j

PS It sounds as if the jobs the OP advertised are going fast so here's a link to the main Glastonbury website with details of other companies wnating workers http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/information.aspx?id=83
Goo luck & don't for get your wellies0 -
Gentle bump on this, spaces are still available. Lots of them actually, maybe 800. But they are soon to look to other sources which they have used in previous years.
But they are expecting a rush after tickets go on sale (1st week of April) and lots of ppl get disappointed.
So my advice, book a place to work, still apply for tickets (if you intend to)
If you get tickets, cancel the work place, costs £15 for admin fee
If you dont, you have a guaranteed work spot before the rush.0 -

it says in the terms and conditions it can take 2 months 2 get ur deposit bk -does that means it takes that long for wages 2 as they both go into your bank account right?0 -
I would think not, though you might want to put the question direct to them, i dont know what arrangements there are for payment of wages.
I do know the reason why it "may" take 2 months to return the deposit is the logistical nightmare of tracking 2000 ppl to make sure they completed the required shifts. It does take a serious amount of time to unravel. I would have thought most ppl would receive the refund quicker.0 -
Just popping up to say hiya and see ya there to all who got tickets through here.
if you want to say hi we will be in the 4 tents rounds gazebo next the the vehicle marshalling area if we can get a good spot.0
