New BT card delayed by post strike - should I worry?

I got an email saying the balance transfer credit card I've applied for was successful and the BT was processed a week ago exactly, with the old card showing a zero balance 4 days ago i.e this Monday.
But my physical card and PIN haven't arrived because of the postal strike, so I can't act on the automated email from Barclaycard advising to set up a direct debit.
Is it possible that the due payment date could fall so close to opening the card e.g within just a week, exposing me to risking failing to make the minimum payment, or should I chill?

Chill.
And also relax.0 -
Give it a few more days - they'll be very aware of postal delays - but if you haven't received it by next week, give them a call to find out when it was sent. You should be able to arrange a payment over the phone if necessary - but I imagine it won't come to that.0

Barclaycard send me an email to tell me my bill has been produced, and then the due date is about 25 days after that, so you should have time.
It's possible you won't be able to set up the DD in time, and will need to make a manual payment, if the statement arrives before the DD is set up.0 -
Phone them and set up the DD.1

Definitely carry out your due diligence here, do not let the system just take care of itself.1

Thanks, all. I phoned Barclaycard today and received no reassurance. They said the card is likely delayed by strikes, and the first bill will be generated on 14 Dec, but they wouldn't activate the card for me before it physically arrives, for security reasons, nor could they tell me the number or set up a DD for the minimum payment. I was advised to keep waiting and hoping the card arrives in time.1

Nip down your local sorting office (with I.D) and ask them to check if there is any mail.
Not just about the strike, lot of Posties are not working overtime due to the world cup and they want the CEO to resignI have a deep burning indifference0 -
Can you not activate the card in the app? I can't remember as I only have 1 BC and it's been on for years but the BT offer going ahead is a good thing. You can probably do the DD in the app too, I can vary my DD easily in there0
