What's your humidity like?

Options
Hi all, I'd be very interested to know what everyone else's humidity is like in their houses. At the moment, my house is around 13.5- 15 degrees (we are in the UK) when we don't have the heating on, and humidity is around 70-78 in various rooms. We're waiting on a dehumidifier which will hopefully bring it down a bit (we're trying to limit the heating)- are these bad levels, or quite usual in today's climate and economy?

17 degrees and heating on for a couple of hours a day… humidity varies between 64% (iif we have opened windows and it’s dry outside) and 80% if it’s raining outside.

similar humidity levels in October when it was 19-20 degrees indoors and no need of heating.

  • 18c in the lounge & 57%. I run a dehumidifier. 18c & 50% in the main bedroom, the upstairs is always less humid.

I put the heating on when it drops below 15c, using the £400 energy thing to pay for the extra couple of hours of heating a day.

17.6C and 54% RH.  It usually hovers in the 60's for the relative humidity.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.
  • Right now, although the downstairs I think has lost connection and hasn’t updated for a few hours. The heating is on at 16 degrees.

We don’t have the heating on during the day at the moment, just 90mins in the morning and from 4-9pm.

I don’t t think our house would ever reach 19-20 degrees!

Upstairs in a solid brick, 1920s house heating on to 18C mines reading 69%. It's generally around the 70%-75% mark. I recently bought a dehumidifier but just returned it today as it was noisier than advertised, I may get a new one when they're back in stock.
