Help with speeding offences

Looking for some advice on this, I've received two seperate notices of intended prosecution in the space of a month.

1st offence was doing 45mph in 30mph zone (it was a dual carriageway which most of that road is 40mph apart from a small stretch of it)
2nd offence was doing 92mph on the motorway - 70mph max.

I currently hold 3 points on my driving licence already and am worried that I could potentially get a maximum of 6 points per offence which would then cause me to be banned from driving.

Hoping someone has some advice on what sort of punishment Id be likely to recieve and also if there's any ideas on mitigating factors that I could use to prevent myself from being banned. Thanks

Both offences are within fixed penalty ranges so three points for each offence is on the cards.

Indeed. up to 50 in a 30 is fixed penalty range. Likewise in a 70, anything up to 95 should get the same.
  • Which means you need a very light right foot until the third anniversary of your earlier offence. Until then, if you commit any further offences which attract points you will not be offered a fixed penalty (and you would not be able to accept it in the event one is mistakenly offered). Instead, the matter will be dealt with in court where you will face a "totting up" ban of six months unless you can convince the court that you or others will suffer "exceptional hardship" if you are banned.
