As far as I know I have not consented to the Pulse card , I stopped the DD for the New Day card and have a credit card on my Amazon account. I just received a text saying my Pulse payment was late . I went for the New day card as they were to axe Visa otherwise I would not have made any changes. I want to stop any further purchases being added to the Pulse account. How best to go about it ,I dont want this to mess my credit scor p.

Delete the Pulse card from the account you spend on
Make sure you pay it asap
Ignore your fake score, no-one but you sees it1 -

Ignore your fake score, no-one but you sees itDon't ignore your credit report though, including late payments - that is seen and does matter.Gingerdogs said:As far as I know I have not consented to the Pulse card , I stopped the DD for the New Day card and have a credit card on my Amazon account. So you either left a balance or charged something to your Amazon card? If so, it was wrong to expect you wouldn't have to pay that off after the card closed. If this is unexpected then urgently call New Day and find out what was charged.0 -
I didn't move over to Pulse but email about my final (monthly paid in full) direct debit was branded as Pulse. I hadn't cancelled my DD, nor do I know if you had a balance but the "rebranding" may have caused the confusion?0

Your terms and conditions haven’t changed. It’s the same apr, the same credit limit, the same app structure (aside from the branding on the app header), even the same credit card number (but a new 3 digit security code). So if you don’t want one I’m sure they’ll close the account for you, but note you do get cashback on the pulse card instead of Amazon points (less - but still worthwhile compared to no rewards at all).
if you’ve missed the payment because you’ve cancelled the direct debit then it might be worth calling them to apologise and say that you were confused as to what was happening with the changeover (as it sounds like you are) and to make a manual payment, asking them politely not to record it as a late payment on your credit file due to you missing some of their communications. (It might still get recorded as a factual event - but they might be lenient).
I went through the same process and received multiple emails and the letters in my document inbox on my app and in browser - did you not see any?1 -

Your agreement was and continues to be with NewDay, nobody else.
You shouldn't knowingly make a charge to a card you understand to no longer be available to you. If you do and the charge is accepted (whether or not it was an accident), it is still your responsibility to pay off that debt according to the terms and conditions you agreed to when taking out the card.1 -
Strictly speaking you didn't need to consent; your card always was issued by New Day.
Call them, explain that you didn't wish to retain the re-branded card and ask them to waive the late fee, pay off the difference and close it. They may or may not take off the late payment marker if asked too.0
