Morning...again with the brrr....didn't lay the lino, OH helpfully pointed out one of our friends does that, so in exchange for a tump of vinyl records, he'll do it, which is a relief, I wasn't confident I could do a sterling job. Adequate yes, sterling, no. However, OH has had his hand to do what he wanted to do, it didn't quite turn out as he'd hoped but it's not bad - he wanted to see what would happend if he put mirrors facing each other in the greenhouse, so we used some film on the glass. Looks good at night, not so good in the day. I have a tip run today, followed by a stop in what OH calls the Hellmouth, which is B&Q for a drill bit. I also need to chop some kindling and I'm meeting a friend tonight at six. Another friend may need a hand moving some carpet, his car isn't big enough...And when I get back it'll be cut some planks down to cover a big hole in the bathroom [not the one under the shower though. That's it for today though....I have a question - Is there any reason one of those colour catcher things can't be reused?Coxy, I think we should all grasp the baton
I really missed it when tru didn't do it last year...snoozer, that all sounds a bit exhausting..hope you get some rest soon...camelot, good on you for caring. Gers, sounds like a handy bloke to know
Ruby, enjoy time with your mum
Happy birthday to your OH...mine is 49 next Saturday, but he is my toyboy so I'll keep him for a while longer...I love that one too...Take care all, it's bbrrr.......get your electric blankets out!

Hello all another in brr land and it's still only 2 degrees! The fog has gone but the wind has picked up, oh roll on spring.
I did a lot of sorting yesterday and found I'd bought more wrapping paper before checking, now I could open my own shop 😲 I haven't found the new cards I bought though, they're obviously somewhere safe. Today I need to dust and hoover downstairs then wrap DD's birthday presents ready for next week.
This afternoon I want to try and finish my jigsaw, it had been neglected for a couple of weeks, but now it needs to be done and put away. Tea tonight will be more corned beef stew as Mr Fix It made a huge batch in the slow cooker yesterday, then I'll freeze the rest. I'll have to play the freezer shuffle to get it in.
My Dad's going to a xmas party this afternoon. When did we change roles, it's normally the children who go, not the parents. I'd like to be a fly on the wall if they play musical chairs 😁
I miss Dumpling too, I hope her family are coping.
Snoozer I hope Esther sleeps better soon. I looked after my DGS a lot from when he was 3 days old to give DD a good night's sleep. He and his sister still stay overnight now and again and I'm sure DGS given half a chance would move in permanently 🤣
taff thanks for starting the carols and xmas songs. I'm sure you'll enjoy Hellmouth with all those power tools.
RedRuby happy birthday to your OH. Enjoy your meal out.
Hope everyone has a good day at work, out shopping or for a meal.
Take care all

Morning all, DH & DS enjoyed their night out at the venue opening- rather too much
, and are - shall we say sluggish today. Good thing they're not working today. We have a rearranged football match tonight. DB has just rung to check we are going, and to see what I've got DGN for his christening. Told him about my online search fetching up silver plated money boxes and baby things, so we've agreed to buy the same value gift cards from next , DN can get some nice clothes for him.
Snoozer hope you all manage more sleep soon. When DS split from DGS mum he moved back in with us, so DGS was with us overnight a couple of times a week, a few months older than Esther though.RR enjoy your meal out.Taff, thanks for the carolIf the colour catcher isn't very full of dark colour I don't see why it can't be re-used, I'm sure I have before
I've taken a chilli out of the freezer so that'll be quick after school pickup, and put in the same size container of left over beef stew from last night.
I'm debating whether to get the tree down from the loft... doesn't seem 2 minutes since I last did it!Take care everyone, hugs for those in need of one x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)9
