if i can buy something on multi buy or reduced now that i would pay full price for later then
then you are either lucky to find the reduced item or fortunate that you can afford to pay up-front for the multi buy.

My first reaction when someone asks how to save money would not be "go and buy things".

not really for either. we know when the reductions are in our local shops and if we can we drop in at those times then meal plan around what we find (tho i said we're out of practice at that and i'm trying to get back into it). we also budget monthly (or try to) and include an amount each month towards bulk purchases for the store cupboard.

if someone wants to save money then the question you/then should really ask do they mean short term emergency (until payday) or in general (budgeting). because buying only what you need that day/week will save money on that shop but will often cost more longer term.

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.
