Morning all, the fog lifted earlier but now it's back down 😕 DGD's team did well at the tournament yesterday and I managed to buy everything I wanted, and a bit more, then called in the chippy on the way home for a takeaway fish and chips for lunch.
We were going out to lunch with DD today as she has a "mindfulness" day off, but she's gone down with another rotten cold along with DGS, so they are home sneezing together. They have to sit amid a load of kitchenalia as DD is having a new kitchen fitted next week (they are fitting new floor tiles this week) and every room downstairs is full, don't envy that myself (would love the end result though)
Today will be a plod along, sorting out and putting away kind of day, especially the office which is inaccessible at the moment because all the presents and xmas stores are in there, that'll be my first port of call. I need to find some puff pastry in the freezer, so I'll look for something for tea at the same time.
Gers thanks for the update on Poppy. Hope you enjoy your time with your ex OH.

Morning all. Foggy today and I have a full calendar of works planned. OH needs a hand with something he wants to do, I have carpet to rip up and a floor to smooth, lino to put down, and get him some boxes so he can empty the bench/ottoman thing which I want upstairs for the bedsheets and blankets, I'm sick of not being able to find anything because they're all in different places and also smelling musty because they aren't kept somewhere tidy. Had a good old shop yesterday but ended up buying a stick for me because my ankle went and I forgot mine. I got two presents for my sister so she is done now, one of those painted watering cans like they have on boats, and a genuine cow bell, to remind her of driving through Switzerland, and she loves cows. I have to wax the bell a bit just to give it a sheen. And I got a little glass with a gold interior for a friend who collects shot glasses. We stopped on the way back for food in Marlborough, and it was rubbish, I'm looking at you Castle & Ball hotel. Andn when I got back I put up the hanging rail because OH had sprayed it, and then burnt my thumb on the fire [because I was stupidly pushing the door with the hand that didn't have the glove on...

Camelot, well done! I read HT and immediately thought 'House Troll' Gers, rubbish news but I'm sure the NHS will be stepping into as much action as they can for her. It's difficult when it's terminal, no one likes to talk about death [ as well as people dying], maybe we should gee up our taboos. Scarlet, isn't that one of the jobs of the DH? I thought it was a perk of having one  TA< happy shopping! I have a BM trip planned too, need cat food Ruby, the display sounds lovely! Nels, glad she was on form and has a busy schedule, looks like she's enjoying herself, and I bet a worry of one sort gone that's she's not on her own now...hope the water turns up! bella, that was tru but she hasn't been here for over a year...In the spirit of tru-e Christmas, I think we should just post a favourite one every day anyway if you like, there may be some duplicates but I always end up with the song in my head all day when she did it...

Morning all, 1st December eh , dull and chilly here.

Gers thanks for the update, and Poppy if you are reading along, you are in my thoughts- gentle hugs.

I met up for lunch with my cousins yesterday, we had a good old natter, but 1 didn't make it due to a family matter. We exchanged CCards, & 1 was going to post some through doors on her way home. That saved on postage! We probably won't meet up again until the New Year.

DH & DSons are going to the opening of a new bar in town tonight, it's invite only, owned by a good friend of theirs. I've put a beef stew in the sc so that'll be ready before they go.

I still need some other bits for the DGC. We have another busy weekend ahead so won't get anything then I don't think. My GNephew is being christened on Sunday so I was looking for a little gift but can't see anything suitable as he's 3 now- it's all for babies but it was delayed due to pandemic and the Greek wedding. I'll probably put some money in a card instead. Might as well take their Xmas ones as well.

I've just put all my ocado delivery away. I got a text saying they were running late due to traffic. Everything there apart from some nuts. Right off to feed pooch,take care all, sounds to be a lot of coughs and colds around, here included x
