You may already have this base covered, but as you didn't explicitly mention Natwest, if you meet their criteria for premier status (I assume you do from the other accounts you listed) and have an OH that will play along, then you could potentially have 3 premier reward accounts between you that can generate 42,000 Avios per year for a fee of £72Marchitiello said:I earn and use MR points/ Avios via a number of sources, including Amex Platinum (Personal), Amex Gold (Business), BAPP Amex, Barclays Premier Avios Rewards, Barclaycard Avios Plus, HSBC Premier World Elite, Nectar, CapitalOnTap (Business) and few other ways.
I have made more then 250,000 MR with Amex this year (sign up bonuses, referral) and al through I Have used my Avios from other sources, for the comparison I made for you I have assumed these were MR points (BAPP Amex actually give me 1.5 Avios per pound, and 3 Avios per pound spent on BA, so the return is even higher).
Anyway, that return in the previous example was on 2 First class ticket to a Long Haul, 10 hours flight destination, which unsurprisingly managed to score directly on the App, without having to call a midnight 355 days in advance (a very rare occurrence, the midnight call remain the normal route)0 -
Indeed, it was one of “the other ways” I did not list (also do the occasional Rewards for Point, signed up to Uber etc, etc) I also have RBS (Child & Co) Premier Rewards and swap them to Avios (NB you get more if you swap £20 at the time instead of either £10 or £50) but on this one, do not have the OH on board, but she does indeed have Barclays Premier as well and just did the Avios plus card for another 100,000 Avios.artyboy said:
