Can I use postal strike as an excuse to return items bought on Ebay?

I bought some bits and pieces from 4 different sellers on Ebay on 17th Nov and they all should have been delivered by Sat 24th to Monday 26th November.
Total value £15
However non have been delivered and I have just been given a trial of Amazon prime so I can buy all the stuff on Amazon and get it delivered tomorrow post free.
Would you do it and send the stuff back to the Ebay sellers because of the postal delay?

I am not sure the postal delay is a valid reason for a return on ebay. If it isn't you might have to pay the return postage costs.

I don't think you can use Royal Mail as an 'excuse' to send things back.
You'd need to look at each individual sellers return policy to decide your best course of action.
There may be additional costs if you have to pay the return postage as a 'change of mind' return.2 -
It's another no.
In addition:
I wouldn't be so confident that Amazon or Amazon Marketplace retailers can deliver to you any quicker than the eBay ones. Due to the Royal Mail strikes all the other delivery companies are extremely busy. Plus the Christmas and Black Friday increases in parcel volumes means that most delivery time estimates are no longer accurate, which is why most online retailers have notices on their websites warning of delivery delays.

NO
i say that as it is real people you are dealing with at many times and individuals that has taken time/effort to sell/pack/post at cost to them and these same people could do with every penny.
Sure, if you have a genuine reason go for it, but not if it is just postal reasons as most of us know there are strikes and the seller often states the carrier they are using.

If the sellers are a business then you have the right to change you mind, doesn’t matter why.

The other thing to note is eBay says if the item arrives after the last delivery date the buyer may open a SNAD return and it’s treated as if the item didn’t match the listing.
Not that I personally agree with doing that.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
