TPMS alert on Suzuki Swift

My Suzuki has decided to warn me that both of my rear tyres are low pressure - they are shown as being 28psi (normal !)
What is the best thing to do ?
Ignore it and assume that it is a glitch / external temperature related ?
Reset the alert - how ?

Inflate them to the pressure shown on the sticker on the driver's door post. Then go for a drive, to make it go off again.

It is the cold weather, the pressure drops slightly and Suzuki's TPMS triggers a warning. Mine does it first thing of a morning, the difference between "correct" with warm tyres or after a run  and "Danger- Emergency!!!!" is very low, and the dealer can't adjust it.

If you go for a reasonable drive, the tyres warm up and the pressure rises which will turn it off.

I just blow mine up a bit for the Winter.

Had the same on a Vitara - a little blast of air into the tyres in Winter just upping the pressure slightly solved it. Your current pressures are borderline, so they'll not show warnings in the summer, only in the colder weather.

There's usually a button that you need to hold down for a while. It should look like the warning light.

Most systems use the ABS sensor to spot if a wheel starts rotating at a different relative to the others so it can be a bit primitive.
If you reset it and it keeps triggering again even whilst the pressures are OK, then the culprit is probably the rear ABS sensors.

Suzuki use pressure sensors in the tyre valves.

Although they will trigger a warning at pretty much the first revolution of the wheel, it takes a couple of miles to turn it off again. Possibly you have to go above 20mph, i can't remember.

Whilst the pressures may be 'normal' when you read them (28psi looks low to me) they may be lower than what is registered as normal on the system and caused by a drop in temperature,

My wife's car had four new tyres recently, all at correct pressures, as soon as the cold weather came the warning was on as one had dropped a couple of psi.

Checked all four, topped them up, warning extinguished.

We had this in March one Dacia.
Warning light came on so we pulled into a garage to inflate the tyres.
All were fine (lowest was 0.2 PSI below recommended).
It could be that it was parked funny and this triggered the sensor.
May you find your sister soon Helli.
    Sleep well.

    Should be 32
I had a faulty sensor 2 years ago (rear right) replaced under warranty
But now - both rears are showing 28 - but only left side is warning

I’m having the same issue with a Suzuki baleno. I’m going to pump them up then take it for a run to warm the tires up and hopefully it will disappear!

According to the owners manual - you have to go into the menu on the dashboard - but I found that unnecessary - a simple refill did the job - with a short drive to reset the sensor
