ex owing me money.

A while ago I was with my now ex. Now we have spilt up he still owes me quite a bit of money. He was paying back some not for the past 6 months he has stopped paying me and. blocked my number. I’ve even went to his house and won’t even open the door. I do have messages and voice note from him saying what he owed me before we split. Not sure what I can do, he works an insurance company so I know he is on a good wage. But still refusing to pay back the £3 money

any of the debts actually have the ex's name on them?  utility bills? council tax? credit cards? etc.  if not it will be very difficult to prove he owes the money to anyone including you.  you could of course try to take him to court but you still would have to chase him to pay up so may not be a very good solution for you.

Do you mean £3k rather than £3?

You could of course take out a claim against him. If he didn't defend it he gets a CCJ

You know where he works so an attachment to earnings would be quite straightforward.

A £3k claim costs £115 to start -  that's the maximum figure in that band.
  • Sorry yes £3k
