Asda car park parking charge notice

This morning I received a parking charge notice from parkingeye for parking longer than 2 hours at asda car park.
The reason for that is that I had issues with my car, after shopping at asda i noticed my steering wheel got completely locked, after struggling with it for hour hour I gave up, called a friend who's good with cars, he came over and managed to get it unlocked somehow.
What's the best easiest way to get it sorted, any point of appealing this?

What's the best easiest way to get it sorted, any point of appealing this?Straight to see the Asda manager tomorrow, explain the circumstances, show receipt for the day (or proof via cc/bank statement) and any similar proof of previous patronage of the store (or Asda more widely) and he/she will cancel it. Imperative you get them to sort it with PE before you get to any appeal stages. What is the Date of Issue shown on the PE letter? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Why do people shop at Asda when the car parking regime takes them for fools?

It happened to me in a Tesco car park. My car wouldn't start after shopping and I knew I couldn't get help for a couple of hours.
The customer services rep tapped away at her keyboard and announced " you now have permission to stay in the car park for twenty-four hours. Come and see me again if you need more time".1 -
What was the outcome @Jojo2234?3
