Energy Support Grant when moving house & supplier

Hi,
Does anyone know how the energy support grant is dealt with when moving house and supplier? I'm moving on 1st March at which point one £66 payment will be remaining. I'm currently supplied by British Gas and would like to take the move as an opportunity to change. The new property is supplied by Ovo who would hopefully be less awful! Thanks for any insights

Officially, whomever is your supplier on the 1st of each month.
You might have fun with that one.1 -
Would it not just show as a credit on the BG account?
But that would all depend on your moving date.Life in the slow lane0 -
Wait until 2/3 to register with Ovo. Then, in principle, you will remain on supply with BG until midnight on 1/3, and they should credit you for March on your final bill.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Item 39 says: " you don't have to tell us if you are switching to a new supplier.", and "... you agree to pay our charges until you switch ...".Gerry1 said:macman said:Wait until 2/3 to register with Ovo. Seems clear enough.
