Halifax Investments

Is anyone having trouble cashing in an investment with the Halifax Building Society. I have a Guaranteed Investment Plan which I would like to cash in but the Halifax have failed to pay the money into my account and say they have "process issues". This has been going on for over a week. I tried to cash it in October, but after 4 weeks still didn't have the money.
Apologies if this is not a subject for this forum but i am getting desperate and wondered if others are experiencing the same issue, as i now require the money urgently.

It is a subject for the forum, but it is unlikely many readers will have been trying to cash in a Halifax Guaranteed Investment Plan over the last few weeks, as it is a rather specific situation.
However general delays with financial providers are not exactly unheard of. There are many posts about delayed, even 'lost' ISA transfers. Pension administrators dragging their heels interminably. Companies with very long waits to answer calls, not responding to e mails etc etc.
Many have staff shortages, IT issues, or both .1 -

And current SW service standards are pretty poor. That is not very long when dealing with them.
This has been going on for over a week.
