That could have happened with any modern car, you must never pull a door open by the plastic handle if it is frozen to the rubber.

Hold the handle open and use your fingers to pull the edge of the door- fingernails will grow back, a broken handle is expensive and trouble.

Spray silicon onto the rubber to help stop it freezing to the door.

The door handles are another common issue, they all snap sooner or later. They are a poor design.

It's a shame really these 500's have so many issues, they are based on the Fiat Panda but some of the fancy design lets them down. The Panda suffers far less issues.

It wasn't that gutting mine was stolen, it was an Abarth 595 and it had a major flaw, it wasn't that fast, not in the real world.
Sure it went like stink and could hang on to the tails of some expensive sports cars but it was 4 times as thirsty as a normal 500, yet had the same size fuel tank.
This meant plenty for fuel stops. I don't think I've ever filled up 4 times in one day before!

awesome! thanks. I've ordered it, hopefully between the Bloke and I we can figure out how to fit it. I'll head to the Fiat forums if we get stuck.
