Gas meter not working - how will I / should I be charged?

My gas smart meter stopped working in the cold snap pre Christmas.  I too have only paid the standing charge for gas since then.  I was with Bulb, taken over by Octopus.   I have the same problem, I can’t see the gas usage when I physically access the meter, they can’t see the gas usage.  Despite the now four month long exchange; I’m told it’ll still be sometime before an engineer can come out.  They ought to compensate me for the stress of it all.

What was the answer to this in the end?  My gas meter ha snot been working and we have only just realised that we have not been charged because it is 0.  What happens next?

Have you contacted your supplier. That's the first step. Do you know when you were last charged for the supply?
