Hello
Quick question about congestion charge
i was about to get out of the zone at 6.59am this morning but I was at a red light and red light went green at 7am so I could only get out at 7am. Do I still need to pay for it even though it was the red light who stopped me from leaving the zone before 7am? Is there a way to check if you need to pay for it?
Thank you

I found this: -Will I be charged if I enter congestion area before 7am and leave after 7am?The charge only applies when you actually drive your car in the congestion zone during the congestion charge period (7am–6pm Monday–Friday, 12pm–6pm Saturday & Sunday).
To me this means that you have to be seen/captured driving through, you seem to have already been IN the zone and drove out. There are sites (the official one is best) where you can check if you have to pay.3 -
Can you type in your registration plate and it tells you if you went through the zone today? Been trying to find the page on their website0

It’s not going to be governed by the traffic lights but your position in relation to the nearest congestion zone camera0
