Not sure that the mention of 'wheelclamp' is good.

It is infested by APCOA, as is the main station car park.

They are benign and a standard appeal template with a one liner added that APCOA never use PoFA compliant NTKs and it is not relevant land is all that is needed.

The parking contract begins when the vehicle is parked and payment made, not when the vehicle passes the ANPR scamera, no matter what the unregulated parking industry would have you believe.

    Based on what you've commented:
"The parking contract begins when the vehicle is parked and payment made, not when the vehicle passes the ANPR scamera, no matter what the unregulated parking industry would have you believe."
I'm not even sure whether to pay for the parking to get into contract!
As the car park is fully managed by cameras, I wonder how would they issue PCRs?

I'm unsure what your problem is, you haven't got a PCN from APCOA what are you trying to achieve?
  • Dear parking vigilantis,

I am a bit curious about a parking situation where:

The parking lot is a council managed area close to a railway station. The ticket can only be purchased via Ringo app and the parking session is automatically managed by cameras.

Full day parking charge is: £9.50
Half day parking from 1PM is: £3.50

It has 20 mins free parking.

If I enter the parking lot at 12:48AM, am I in breach of contract if I start my parking session at 1:00PM?

    Many thanks,

    @fisherjim - Original query above.

Thanks for reminding us that this is 'a council managed area close to a railway station'.

    You subsequently asserted...
The car park in question is Basingstoke Station - North Yard car park.
    ...has thrown us off track.

The North Yard car park is APCOA managed.

Which car park did you use?
  • @KeithP - Silly of me to assume it was council managed car park.

I can confirm it is the Basingstoke Station - APCOA managed North Yard car park that I used!

Nothing to worry about then.  Search for & read ANY APCOA thread.  Show me any poster who has lost at POPLA with our advice?!

There is nothing more to say - if you get a PCN by post it's an easy one to defeat.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You should be able to edit posts and thread titles so it would help if you would amend this thread title and remove any reference to council car parks from your posts. That way other posters won't be confused into thinking this car park is council operated and end up going down the wrong appeal route.
