BP fuel payments via their app

I regularly use the BPme app to pay for fuel with the transactions pre-authorised from my Mastercard. I have a number of transactions which haven't been taken from my mastercard account, some dating back over a month. How long do they have to actually take the money from my Mastercard before it drops off and the fuel effectively becomes "free"?

As with most debts, 6 years (5 in Scotland), but after 6 months they should ask for the money first rather than just taking it (although I'm not sure that there's anything in legislation to support this). I've had a few payments over the years that somehow got lost and were never taken, and I don't think I've ever had one taken more than a few months after the transaction was done.

Well Visa say after 6 months they can be disputed for late presentation. But be aware retailer could chase via other means if they have you details.
Would expect Mastercard to be around the same.
Other than that as above down the legal route.Life in the slow lane0
