nokia 6111 and infrared

Hi there
I'm having a few problems with my hp pc. Its got windows vista basic installed.
I've downloaded nokia pc suite so I can transfer music files to my 6111 but can get the infrared or bluetooth to work.
I've checked the whole pc but no luck it doesn't seem to have it installed.
Is there some some freeware I can download which will get me back on track or do I need to buy an adapter of sorts?
Any help would be appreciated

Does your PC have Infra red or Bluetooth ? If it hs they may be disabled in the BIOS so you could look at that. Alternatively just get a cbale to connect it, it's easy to use and less temperamental then IR.It's my problem, it's my problem

infra red is a waste of time it doesnt work. i bought my self a dongle you plug it in to your usb port and its bluetooth and you can send games music videos through it to your computer or from your computer to your phone they only cost about £100
