Where did the cheap Calpol alternatives go?

Hey All,
With baby triplets, when we get a cold (as now
) we get through 60ml of Calpol today so with a 100ml bottle at £3.50 it soon adds up. Obviously if it's needed I'll pay for it, but knowing I'm paying 3x the price for the brand is frustrating when we get through so much. About a year ago I could get Galpharm or Fennings for £1 or £1.29 ish for 100ml from Home Bargains or similar, but now they all only seem to stock genuine Calpol. Boots/Lloyds/Tesco do a generic but it's not that much cheaper than Calpol. What would be cheaper is buying the generic 6+ (250mg/5ml) since it's the same price, then giving half doses to make it equivalent to 120mg/2.5ml but the bottle lasting twice as long, but the danger of an over-tired parent giving the wrong dose is there so I'm not keen.
Anyone know what happened to the Galpharm/Fennings options and where it might still be available?

Google is your friend
Fennings ( Paracetamol) available online from B & M. I didn't look any further for other sources. You can do that yourself.
Galpharm is Ibuprofen and is available online as well.

Your link is to a product for children 6+ years old.
The OP has 'baby triplets".

Have you spoken to your local pharmacy about the minor ailment scheme? They may be able to prescribe it free. The internet should let you know which pharmacies near you offer minor ailment scheme.
