Can I get refunded for a recurring subscription on an expired debit card?

Hi folks,

I used to have an xbox subscription paid via debit card. I got rid of the xbox years ago and the debit card expired in 2016.

Today I noticed I have been charged yearly for xbox live ever since. I've since discovered that continuous payments continue to work even if the original card expired (lesson learned).

I called Microsoft and by policy they can't refund older payments. I contacted my bank and they said they couldn't dispute the past charges because I hadn't cancelled the subscription.

I am ready to chalk this up as an expensive lesson learned, but wanted to see if there was any last throw of the dice I could attempt to recoup my subscription fees? Any financial right to do so if I didn't actually use the service?

Thanks!

    No.

No.   Its a bit like paying for a gym membership and not going.  It does not give the right for a refund.
