How do you pay your bill ?  That will decide how you receive the payment.  In my case I pay by monthly DD so that is reduced by £67 and the payment is applied to my account in its palce leaving me free to pay that amount to my gas supplier if I wished.
I pay my gas and electric by monthly DD, one for Eon and one for British Gas, both separate from each other. I don't quite understand what you mean about the payment. Did you mean that it's paid straight into your bank account ?
Some electricity suppliers were automatically pushing the £66 into your bank account a few days after the DD was taken.  Some were just taking £66 less out and adding extra credit into your energy account.

Either way - if you are a fixed monthly DD payer, you should have £66 more in your bank account than you normally would, which you can spend on gas if you like.

Exactly that. UW gave me a discount, BG gave a friend the £66 into their bank.
Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!

How much is your monthly DD to Eon normally ?  What have you paid for the last 2 payments ?  What does your on line account show for payments ? Eon Next reduce the monthly DD so you should have that extra in your bank.
