Afternoon all. My keyboard finally gaveup the ghost, had to spend some time sorting that because I'm using my emergency keyboard [and mouse]. This one is a pig to use, lots of heavy key bashing instead of swishing lightly...The mincemeat is out of the oven and waiting for it's occasional stirring, I've washed the carpet outside with some washing powder then went over it with the jetwash patio thingy so that's hanging over the fence to drip.The washing is done and on the airer in front of the fire, I've been party planning and now I'm going to look for a pork mince recipe for tonight. I've got a couple of greggs frozen things in the oven because the glass jars are sterilising and it was on anyway for the mincemeat...

Ruby, that was really funny, shake and vac Nels, hope they turn up soon... the * thing becausepeople used to be wary of posting the proper name, some still are..camelot, happy child free day! It's simply cooked chicken with a white sauce which is flavoured with a sprinkling of capers, a squeeze of lemon juice, a tin of asparagus spears (the juice from this is an important part of the taste) and seasoning.

Unfortunately I couldn't get the asparagus here so it'll have to wait until I go either up or down the road! I've done portions of chicken in mayo with sweetcorn instead.

Loads of cardboard has now gone to the recycling centre and I'm about to up the hill to visit my old friend. He's not going to make much headway though is at least still able to have a conversation and a dram!

I've been doing another online citizen science project - this one about student's fridges and sinks. What is fascinating me is the mostly very clean and organised fridges and the wholly mucky and chaotic sinks.  A whole load of them only have hand washing liquid, no washing up stuff so, I presume, that they are only using the hand wash for everything.
