Very dark damp start to the day. Loads of laying water.

DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and  enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here.  DS2 settled and happy..

Dinner last night was jacket potato, cheese and beans, with ham, boiled eggs, pork pie and side salad.  Tonight I'm not sure but will sort when I come out of work later.

Last day at work for tis week for me.

Morning All

The rain is battering the windows and the wind is harsh, thank goodness I won't be doing playground duty today. The teachers are on strike but we have to go in. Still, there's plenty to do.

More present wrapping last night, I think I only have to buy a couple more presents and I'm done. Hoping to get those done this weekend.

DD got a doll's house free for the little one and I have been charged with giving it a spruce up so I'll crack on with that over the weekend. I've bought her some furniture to go in it so she'll be a happy bunny at Christmas.

I'm going to meet one of my oldest friends later for dinner and a catch up, really looking forward to that, will have a look at the menu before I go!

Morning folks. 

Battering rain and wind here too, and all through the night. The reward was a sky full of stars again. 

Today I'll have to go out as I need a couple of ingredients for Chicken Fricassée the way my DM made it. It's destined for the freezer. Then I may visit my elderly friend again to bring him a paper. 

Camelot - little one will love the dolls house, they are so delightful. Enjoy your playground free day. Royal Mail is also on strike for two days, my grumpy postie told me all about it yesterday as he's a union man. 

I hope that everyone is safe, dry and warm. Happy Thursday to all.

Morning folks. Been MIA a couple of days as .my trusty old laptop has finally gasped its last. So a brief one using phone which is tedious with sausage fingers. I am reading along though. Took a longer than usual bus ride yesterday but overfaced by so many shops so still no presents bought

Good morning, it's damp here, but no rain as yet.

I'm a bit late this morning, as I've been awake half the night, then fell asleep at about 3.30am, so I'm tired now.

Your dgd will love the dolls' house Camelot, I used to yearn for one as a child.

I don't like posting on my phone either TA, I make too many mistakes.

Yesterday was ok, I tried the tree skirt on Dd's tree, it fits so I'll finish it.  Also had messages and pictures from Oz, the Christmas stockings I made for my family there have arrived and they are pleased with them, so that's good..

We are going to a funeral this afternoon, another friend, who passed away a fortnight ago.

Dh wants to go over to the caravan this morning, to clear any water left in the pipes and water heater, he has a gadget which blows it out at pressure. We don't want any frozen pipes. We'll also lift the seat cushions for ventilation in the cupboards underneath.

That's about it for me, I feel a bit groggy at the moment, very tired, but I'll pick up.

Morning all

Pouring with rain again  and no let up all day ! I am off to collect my private client and take him to work, will nip in and do my shopping on the way home.

We had a lovely day Christmas shopping with the two lads yesterday, they loved it and the lad was so pleased that he was able to buy things for people, he got his mum some pyjamas, slippers, a soft toy hot water bottle, chocolates and smellies, we got it all at a good price as I had my money saving head on, we went to savers for the smellies and I told him to choose what his mum would like - he came back with a bottle of shake and vac  and said this smells nice she will like this ! I managed to persuade him to put it back and get her some nice smellies. We had lunch out and had a lovely day.

Not sure about dinner tonight will see what I get in the shop, it will be something quick and easy.

Morning everyone
Not in work till lunchtime today so I'm having a slow start to the day - I've been very achy and tired this week. Dry and bright here but rain is due later.
It rained on and off all day yesterday - little one was delighted to go out with her wellies and little umbrella. We went to the library where she ended up 'helping' the librarians who were making pompoms for a Christmas display. Then to Costa where she had a babychino and a Christmas tree biscuit...she kept saying 'granny this is a lovely treat!'
Redruby - it sounds like a lovely day - hope you have another good one with your client today
Camelot - my mam and dad got little one a lovely dolls house from Aldi last Christmas. We bought furniture for it from Amazon - lovely wooden room sets.

Morning everyone I tried to get on here this morning but it was having none of it don’t know what was happening gremlin’s I think just got back in from one of my cleaning jobs going to have a cuppa and a sandwich before I start back at 12 I will prepare some of the stir fry for tonight just get stuff out to be honest saves a bit of time when I get in and can’t be bothered little dog seems a lot better today I don’t know if she has pulled a muscle but she’s walking ok today and jumping on and off the couch which she couldn’t do yesterday but she’s very quiet I think she’s playing on it as well as she still keeps tapping her advent calendar and of course I give in because she’s poorly we are on day 4 now I will be pleased when it’s gone to get some peace .Camelot I bet she will love the dolls house hope you pick up a bit later scarlet I blame these dark morning’s and miserable weather Redruby the shake and vac made me chuckle bless him . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

We had a nice celebration with DGS last night, his presents went down well, and the small bits I got for DGD.She is hoping to get back to school tomorrow but was still coughing a fair bit.Rang to wish DGS a good day this morning, DS was driving him to school, I just missed them driving past but they saw me when I was out with the dog .

Had an early Ocad0 delivery, all present and correct apart from some protein bars that were in the Black Friday deals, but got some last week at half price and there are still some left.Tonights tea will be the garlic & herb spatchcock chicken that came and chips for the men.

Can't claim its morning now so Hi all 

Slept well last night for a change and its not raining so all good.

Waiting on the water company to come and change something to do with the water supply think its the outside water meter. Frustrating when they give you an 8-5 slot.

Asda delivery this morning so my wine stocks are replenished again. Just one missing item....some smoked salmon pate for my Christmas stock. Anyone recommend a favourite noodle recipe? I love noodles but a bit a bit bored with my usual recipes

Another new person to call this afternoon for my stroke befriending what's the bet the water company turn up at that time
