Your handyman is getting so much done and by the summer you'll think it's a new garden.

It's possible the urge to move is also the final cut from your previous marriage. Transforming inside and out to your tastes, could see you being more settled.

Thanks Lucielle, Beanie, BM and MF

I am so pleased with my handyman (and cleaner when she comes). They make such a difference.

I made myself go 'back' and do the work so that I'm not too pressured tomorrow. Did a good job in the end I think. I couldn't have done it in the time 'at' work / normal hours...

I struggled to sleep last night - and looking at my meds box - it looks like I forgot to take my tablets which would explain it - as one has a drowsy side effect.

Just done a Mr A order to come Saturday am ready for Sunday hosting. I have to say I have tried their JE gravy and I love it and their rice pudding. I wasn't a fan of the lasagne but DD thought it was okay. I'm trying the washing powder next - will let you know how I get on.

The mortgage went out today - so that's a reduction of around £657. Still not had my annual statement. Looking forward to getting that. Mortgage now around £193,609.

If the weather is kind on Sunday - I may light the fire pit so the kids can do toasted marshmallows. I could also see if BIL wants to do any sparklers or fireworks and use up what's in my shed!

Added a few things to my compost bin last night and this morning. Want to mix brown and green layers.

It's gone really cold here the last few days. I though I put my heating on at 7 but the room is still 12 degrees so may need to go and check! It was 11 earlier.  Oops - don't know what I did wrong but it wasn't on. I've had the elec blanket on - but I'm trying to give myself at least an hour's heating in the morning and then again at night. Will find out mid Dec what that's costing.

I need to contact BG as they've said they need to replace my electricity meter because it could be dangerous. (21 years old) but when I go to book it only gives booking for a smart meter as an option... Confused. Will report back later.

    Have a good day all.

You've got to love them for trying.  They have trouble here with smart meters, so are not pushing for fitting.  I'm not sure how old my electric meter is but it is over 30 yrs old.  I wonder why mine isn't classed as dangerous.

Happy new diary!  What an amazing year you had over the last 12 months, both financial and non-financial.  Love the plans for the coming year too :)

There's only sm-rt and suppliers are still pushing people to swap, I ignore the emails. When it's swapped remember the external display isn't accurate, still watch your usage via the meter and check their automatic readings. If for some reason they don't attend, claim the charge for non-attendance it's about £30.

    Mortgage is coming down nicely.

Sunday's plan sounds fantastic. Have a look at your camera settings on your phone as if you slow the exposure you'd have some very artistic images off the sparklers.
