The charcoal work sounds great…such interesting effects. Well done on your DS’s portrait. The Insta reel sounds good… my DD1 makes reels showing works in progress and does some sort of speeded up film so that you can see how the art work starts and develops.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . I am with you on these food delivery boxes but as I had an offer of a free box plus £4.99 p&p then 4 x £10 off next marks I tried it .My second one arrived today and it is actually quite fun having it arrive and no hassle !So whilst like you I batch cook and can really cook for me it’s a bit of fun and not too expensive - I look at it as a slightly more effort takeaway - which I treat myself to only when I have an offer
today they sent me 4 more offers of a first free box plus £5 p&p - one can cancel after - if you want a code DM me - I don’t get any advantage from it but it might just help with your stress levels given you have so much on your plate
glad to see your art is coming alongDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Well yesterday was busy - helping DD took about 7 hours out of my day but good result. We nipped to a few shops and had to fix my headlight as well as two trips to take the mattress base plus the meal out. She didn't want the mattress. I ended up paying to have a couple of keys cut as she only had one - which meant that one of them was at times locked in which meant one less fire escape route so I wasn't having that!! I bought her BF a Xmas and B'day gift yesterday. So more money spent.
I've done her portrait this weekend - it took about 4 attempts but pretty pleased with it given this is only my second week of trying to do portraits.
Don't feel ready to go back to work tomorrow but needs must. I still need to print off my solicitor transfer stuff and sign and return it.
Hope you are all doing well.

Thirded on the keys!Well done on the portraits 😊👏 I have only managed one - of myself. Done years ago in secondary school. You drew a grid and the. Chunked your face down into those grids sections from a mirror - it was surprisingly effective. All the portraits that came from that session in a class of 30+ were recognisable 😊

Glad you have a lovely time with family sounds like a lot of work with moving the furniture but at least it is done. I would also have got some more keys cuts but I have found local independent ones a so much cheaper than say Timpson however Timpson is convenient as there are so many of them at least.
Hope you get the solicitor stuff sorted and sent off sounds like it is all moving along as slowly as those things tends to do. Have you got any inkling of a move date yet?Save £12k in 25 No 49

Thanks Beanie, KK, TG and Skint
Kids think they are immortal and that things like fires will never happen to them but yes why would you risk it? The front door is opposite the stairs and there's a doormat sized hallway. To not be able to get out of that door in a fire situation would be crazy. I've lectured them both. I've told them to leave a key half way up the stairs at night so it's out of reach of a hook and cane burglar but they could easily find a key if they needed it. Who knows if they will or not.
I did a collage last night linked to my DD's portrait on a previous version I hadn't liked. I have more to do on that one.
I updated my finances last night and cleared a CC again.
I'm running behind as always. I have a meeting in 8 mins. Can't fit in a shower this morning but still need to dress.

Just catching up, so much going on but you're doing well. I'd also recommend the food delivery boxes as a way of taking a bit of pressure off. Also agree on the keys, no brainer! The portraits sound great, I don't have any artistic talent so a bit envious of you being able to create such lovely art. Take care x4
