Does anyone know where I can download a codicil template for the uk, I’ve searched on line and they all seem to be American version, asking for state and county, and such like TIA

Going by you previous thread you really should be making a new will. DIYing an immediate post death trust is not something you should be undertaking.0

Try https://www.redcross.org.uk/-/media/documents/get-involved/form-legacy-codicil-form.pdf (obviously adapting the wording to suit your own situation, although the Red Cross would doubtless be delighted to be included too!).carlbhoy said:Does anyone know where I can download a codicil template for the uk, I’ve searched on line and they all seem to be American version, asking for state and county, and such like TIAGoogling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0 -
I’ve already got a will, but before I can write a new one I’ve been told I have to have this tenants in common sorted first,(which is being dealt with a solicitor at the moment) so while I’m waiting, there are some things I need to alter straight away, so that’s the reason I’m looking for a template to tide me over, until the tenants in common is sortedKeep_pedalling said:Going by you previous thread you really should be making a new will. You can do that yourself, free (and quickly, since presumably your wife is happy to agree): https://www.gov.uk/joint-property-ownership/change-from-joint-tenants-to-tenants-in-commoncarlbhoy said:

Either owner can do this without requiring agreement from the other.Marcon said:

Indeed, but it's quicker (and simpler) if the parties agree.Keep_pedalling said:

I thought it made no odds? Party wishing to change it serves notice on the other, job done ...Marcon said:

To be fair, I've only known it happen when both parties were in agreement, but didn't think it could be contested.
Just read your previous link Marcon. As you say, quicker and easier with agreement ...Signature removed for peace of mind0
