Family presents on behalf of Mum with Dementia deprivation of assets?

Thanks for all the replies. There is a house and Inheritance tax is not a problem. It looks like following patterns of previous gifts to both her own children and grandchildren e.g 1500 for a new floor / a holiday for grandchildren 1k when at uni. Help for daughter after divorce etc that there is some precedence for gifts that we can follow. I appreciate that deprivation of assets will only come in to play in the unlikely event that she lives longer than expected and that her assets fall below 23k.0
