Screen wash pump. Dead?

Is 10 years about a reasonable life span for a screen wash pump? Reason I ask is mine all of a sudden fails to work. The jet isn't blocked as I examined the hose and tried again. Pretty sure it's the pump rather than a fuse, I'll try buying a new one. Are they generally universal? Talking 10 year old Nissan Note here. Does not look like a hard job but have never tried.

Why not check the fuse? 2 mins job, and always start with the simple and cheap components.
Also would put a multimeter on the feed to the pump to check it is getting power.
Next, I'd try to run the pump direct off 12v and observe what happens. Could be totally dead, could try to run but sluggish /jammed and buzzing.
Then I'd remove it and check it hasn't been blocked by something.
Proper diagnostics seems to be a dying art and people including car service garages seem to just replace components before determining the fault.
Do all the above at no cost and then decide whether the pump needs replacing. Is 10 years about a reasonable life span for a screen wash pump?Whether it is reasonable or not makes not difference, if it doesn't work it needs fixing. Some things break at 1 day old, some things last for decades, either way it is out of warranty and needs to be fixed so whether somebody says "yes" or "no" to that question makes no difference.

I replaced mine on a Peugeot 5008, was not the pump but a split pipe.
I ordered a genuine pump on eBay, £16. Peugeot wanted over £50 plus vat.
Tomo Motorparts On eBay sell genuine parts.
Have a look or call them.

I’ve just replaced the washer pump on my Hyundai i30. Seems to be a common problem on these but it’s the first time I’ve ever had to change one on any car I’ve owned.
Cheap DIY job with the pump available on Ebay and there’s usually info online on where the pump is and how to check it.
On my car, it was under the offside headlight, attached to the washer container. Took off the wheel and trim and detached the pump.
Checked it on a 12v battery which revealed it was faulty.
Also the fact it didn’t make a noise when operating it on the car meant pump failure or fuse (doesn’t have one).
