Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Very dark damp start to the day. Loads of laying water.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy..
Dinner last night was fish, chips.rice/veg and beans. Remembered to get the chicken out for doing a slow cooker casserole, and it's not completely defrosted but will see how it goes before I leave for week otherwise I'll have to think of something else.
Work wasn't too bad yesterday - we'll see how today goes.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Cold again this morning but doesn't look to be frosty. I had to put the heating on for an hour or so last night as it was so cold. Wasn't too bad once the fire got going.
Glad you rescued the Robin Gers.
Well done to your very talented DGDs TA.
Great weight loss Coxy.
Belated happy birthday to your DM Ruby.
Hope the new baby is doing well snoozer.
Cleared out a cupboard where I keep presents last night, I now know what I have to get for Christmas gifts, not too much now. I may start wrapping later, always makes me feel more organised as it's something I don't enjoy.
Got some soft plastics to take to the recycling bin later and will drop a bag off to the charity shop too. There's also a stray library book to take back, must have missed it last time.
Hugs to those in need, take care. XX10 -
Morning folks. Thanks for starting us off nmlc. I've been lying looking out at the sky, it's been bursting full of stars again, all different sizes and strengths of twinkling. It never fails to fill me with awe.Yesterday morning was strangely busy. I vacuumed out the woodburner and reset it for later. The ash and two bags of rubbish went to the tip. On the way I went to the pharmacy to get the gel for my mouth. It costs over £6.00 for the wee tube so I asked for it from 'Pharmacy First' which gives some generic forms of medication free of charge. I had to wait a wee while for the pharmacist to be free but it was worth it to be MSE. There were various things to do in the kitchen and then I brought in some logs from the big barn.In the early afternoon I lit the stove and toasted my idle self. 😀
Today will be a surprise, my 'to do list' only has two things on it - bring in logs and set the stove. Everything else will be a mystery.TA - I'm booked to see the Snow Queen ballet in Glasgow in three weeks time.I hope that everyone is doing well, mums and babies included. Happy Tuesday to all.11 -

Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
WFH today and have to pop out to post a Bay of E parcel at lunchtime, return my library books and collect a big river parcel from a locker in town. I need to keep busy today as it's DNephew's anniversary. Have messaged DSis.
Dinner tonight will be the liver I ordered from DR - will marinate it and cook with onions, tomatoes and garlic and serve with rice and veg. Stepmum talked me through it on the phone, so hopefully I won't mess it up as it cost £3.25/pack and I think I need both packs.....
Good luck at WW @IzzyBee x
Hope little granddaughter is thriving @snoozer x
Glad the cleaner has started back @Nelski and sounds like the Costco haul will keep you going for a while
Hope the gel helps @Gers - nowt worse than mouth pain x
Have a good day all,
Coxy

Morning all
Very cold here and the first frost of the winter, I have put the heating on for a while to warm the house through, while we can grin and bear it for a while longer I cant expect my guests to sit here shivering ! Three coming today and one has asked to go to Chichester cathedral for a walk around and then a walk around the shops so should be a nice day.
Something with mince for dinner I might do a shepherds pie as thats nice and warming, dw to be emptied this mornng and a quick tidy round.
I also hate wrapping gifts with a passion ! and we have a lot of Birthdays this time of year so its a double whammy ! I am going to get as much done as I can on Saturday and then try and do the others as and when I get them, I have all main presents its just stocking fillers for DD and OH that I need, I may be able to get a few today.
Have good days all and keep warm ! xxx9 -
Hi everyone,
Laura and the baby finally got home at 8pm yesterday, much to my relief as Esben was missing mummy a lot, he was being a bit of a handful. He had a late night so he is very tired today but wants to go to nursery which is a blessing. The baby has a name - Esther, which was Steve's mum's name and the name Laura always said she would call a little girl. So we now have an Esben and an Esther, people who don't know us will think they are twins. She is the image of Esben as a baby so very cute but I have never known a baby who wants to suckle so much, poor Laura is feeding virtually non-stop, I hope her milk comes in soon.
I'm very tired today so I think a nap will definitely be called for when Esben is out of the house, it's been harder work looking after him and walking the dog plus everything else mainly by myself because Steve still has to keep off his foot as much as possible.
I'm sorry, I have been trying to keep up with the thread but nothing is really sinking in so I'll just say I hope you are all as well and happy as can be expected. Oh, I think I saw on FB that it was Hester's birthday so a belated greeting for her.
Have a good day.12 -
Morning
Chilly here to this morning. Heating on which of course breaks my heart but needs must.
Costco stuff still needs sorting so I'll do a bit more today.
New lady on my volunteer calling list today so most of the morning is full now then United Utilities this afternoon so hopefully they will come up with a solution.
Coxy I love liver. Yours sounds lovely. No idea what DR is though. All these years posting and I still have no clue what most of peoples abbreviations are. The ones with * 's in instead of the proper name confuse me too. Why do people do that? I doubt Asda sit up and take note if I write that word
Hate wrapping too Ruby. Luckily list is very small now so not so painful.
Gammon tonight with egg chips and peas
Have a lovely day all and stay warm x11 -
Lovely name snoozer. My dads sister was an Esther and was my favourite auntie9

Morning everyone
I was just getting dressed when a plasterer arrived to repair the bathroom and bedroom wall from when the plumber had to put a hole through to fix the radiator. I thought the earliest he would arrive would be 8.30 but it was just 8.15...I had to shout out the bedroom window that I'd only be a few minutes.
It's all done now so I have the morning free before work at lunchtime. I need to pop down to Farmfoods for milk and will see if they have any other bargains.
It seems milder here this morning. Yesterday was freezing all day. We have new heating at nursery so I was in the warm all day, but then my house felt so cold when I came home. I've now set the timer so it comes on in the morning for an hour and then back on just before I come home in the afternoon.
Oh it's just started raining so I'll wait a bit before I go down to the shop.
Snoozer - enjoy lots of lovely baby cuddles. I hope Esben is ok with his new sister.
Esther is a lovely name.
Right, I'm going to move - hope everyone has a good day today x10 -
