Elnur Ecombi Heater - is it broken?
I've had this for a year ish now, it was installed on a government grant but its still unbearably cold in my home here in the winter, I've had fresh insulation installed also. I just don't know if this is genuinely how it's supposed to feel/work or if there's something wrong with the unit
The convector heater never kicks in, it will turn on briefly if I turn the machine on and off but other than that it never does. Early morning for about an hour it will be mildly warm until turning off and being cold the rest of the day, I've scoured the internet and the manuals i don't know what else to do.
Does anyone else have an issue with this heater? Is it supposed to be this cold all the time?

In the settings there is also 'err4', what does that mean? Manual says its a time issue but the time and date is correct, what does it mean?

Have you asked Elnur?
In their FAQs:
"The Error 4 code is usually caused by a timing issue. If your heater has only recently been installed, we advise contacting your energy provider to check your Economy 7 /10 supply timings and amend these on your ECOHHR in the General settings of the heater. How to amend charge times? The Error 4 can also be caused by an issue with the time/day on the heater. We would advise checking the current set times and amending them to the correct time and day. Take a look at our quick guide. How to set Day / Time?"0 -
Yeah that's what I suspected, I checked the date and time and they are both correct
I'm awake here at 5am and I touch the bottom of the heater to see if its storing heat and its stone cold. Am I right in assuming it's not supposed to be this way? I know during bed hours it's supposed to be heating up the bricks, and during the day it let's it all out, day doesn't start until 7.30 (my tarrif times) so I know the room wouldn't be warm until then, but the unit is stone cold makes me think it's not doing the thing it's supposed to be doing
Should I contact someone to come look? I just want to make sure it's absolutely necessary and not waste peoples time0 -
If you have checked that both the actual day/date/time & E7 day/time settings are correct, have read/tried everything in the manual then I would suggest that you either contact Elnur support or the people that installed it.0

Does this heater have a single electrical feed in, or two?
The switch on the right hand side is definitely on, yes?The settings on these are a little more complicated than the Dimplex heaters I’m more familiar with, but can you confirm what you have the two temperatures set to? Default looks to be 18/21°C.
Do bear in mind that the high heat retention heaters do feel very cool indeed on the exterior when they’re charging. I invariably question whether ours is behaving itself when I first switch it on each winter!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
